Information about Police Training College, Gulbarga

Police Training College is situated at about 3 km from Gulbarga city
It has been built at a total cost of Rs.19.50 crores and occupies 94 acres of land
It was inaugurated on 7^th February 2003 by the former CM of Karnataka, Shri. S.M.Krishna.

Objectives of PTC

To impart basic training to the new entrants at the level of Sub-inspector of Police and Constables of Police of Civil, Armed reserve and other special units
To conduct refresher and capsule course for in-service Police officers to update their professional Knowledge and skills
To create a pool of Police Trainers for the state of Karnataka
The College strives to impart professional skills ethics and morals of the highest standard, it also tries to inculcate a sprit of service to the community in the training

PRINCIPAL's MESSAGE

The Police Training College, Gulbarga, is a dream project of Karnataka State Police. It was inaugurated in 2003, after meticulous hard work by a lot of senior police officers, off course with a magnanimous help by the Government of Karnataka. This institution aims to train police officers of the rank of PSIs and below. It has already churned out 3331 police officers. It is our continuous endeavour to raise the standards of police training, despite the weather extremities in Gulbarga. That it is a fledgling training institute with adequate infrastructure facilities, I can confidently say that it has the potential of becoming a leading police training institute not only in the State of Karnataka but our country as well.
